This week features a dynamic New Moon in relational Libra. This New Moon sits closely beside Mercury, who is retrograde. We are likely to find ourselves emotionally reviewing the past as our retrograde journey deepens. Pay attention to sudden ideas or insights and make note of them.
The Sun and Moon also conjunct Mars at the New Moon, adding primal instinctual energy to this dark moon period. Because Mars is in Libra, the goal will be to seek physical balance in the midst of emotional reactions. Be careful not to act irrationally or from anger. On the other hand, it’s also wise to avoid becoming so focused on avoiding confrontation that boundaries are non-existent and people-pleasing takes center stage.
Pluto goes direct within hours of the New Moon, suggesting that the force field of this lunar event will be potent and undeniable – and, perhaps, will lead us to a new understanding of the deeper truth of our experience. Pluto’s strong energetic presence is also sure to lend itself to bursting any lingering rose-colored glass bubbles.
The next day Venus enters Sagittarius, lightening the mood when it comes to our sensual desires, romantic encounters and overall drive for pleasure. With Venus recently in Scorpio, we were fixated on intensity and depth — and now in Sagittarius, our focus shifts to a variety of passions and seeking visceral excitement. Venus in Sagittarius wants stimulation and new perspectives, so it’s a good idea to allow space for new beliefs to formulate in response to your experiences.
The weekend is very busy, as the Sun meets Mercury and Mercury meets Mars. Keep your mind open to new perspectives and you may find that a major puzzle piece of awareness suddenly grants you access to new dimensions of possibility and personal freedom. The desire to act in the direction of our ideas is strong, so proceed when inspiration strikes but don’t forget Mercury is retrograde, so things may not turn out quite as expected.
Venus dances a bit with the North and South Nodes in Gemini and Sagittarius, respectively. Perhaps Venus’s entrance into Sagittarius connects us to feelings of inspiration, faith and purpose. Certainly, there is growth to be had under the expansive energy of Sagittarius. It’s possible that old limiting beliefs loosen their grip as Venus’s feminine healing energy passes over this spot.
We close the week with Saturn stationing direct in Aquarius on Sunday. Since May 22, Saturn has been retrograding and therefore has exuded a more muted version of their energy. Newly direct, Saturn will now likely manifest as prominent themes of collective experiences, societal rebellion and experimentation. We may again face restrictions on a global scale as a result of rule-making Saturn turning direct, so be prepared to pivot when necessary.
