This week we begin to transition out of Pisces Season into Aries Season. We swap the spiritual landscape of mysticism and intuitive feeling for a backdrop of brave, tangible, bold action. The Spring Equinox coincides with the Sun’s entrance into Aries on March 20th, which brings us back to an equal amount of day and nighttime. In other words, we may all breathe a sigh of relief that perhaps one of the most challenging winters of our lifetime is now behind us.
We begin the week with Mercury’s entrance into Pisces after having cleared the shadow period of his retrograde through Aquarius. This is a placement where Mercury is naturally tapped into the subtle shifts present throughout the collective human experience. This is an intuitive mental process that wades through the waters of consciousness and is not so focused on forcing logic. Mercury in Pisces wants to dream up and create a more compassionate and altruistic world, starting with the way we communicate and how we relate to each other. Use this transit to visit new dimensions of thought and feeling – and bring some of it back with you to practice in 3D. The ripple effect of this transit is sure to bring healing to humanity.
Deep healing is possible this week when it comes to our life force energy. Wherever it is we may have experienced wounding around our sense of independence, free will, self-expression and creativity, we may find that the Sun’s sextile to Pluto just before Mars’ sextile to Chiron helps close an old chapter of pain. We may find it easier to work with our pain now, instead of it manifesting itself in strange and/or subconscious ways. Pluto brings everything out into the open for healing. Let yourself explore to your heart’s content with Mars in Gemini working together with Chiron in Aries; this is energy that needs space, independence and above all: trust in self.
Venus and Pluto meet up on March 18th (my birthday! 🥳) to help bring in more renewed energy. If we have been struggling or feeling a sense of being stuck in molasses, this week’s Pluto aspects can help unplug our energetic drains and open us up to new possibilities. Don’t be afraid to reach out and ask for help, especially when it comes to matters of relationships and finances. We may find the way we seek intimacy undergoes a metamorphosis as our internal experience shifts. There is also great opportunity for strides to be made in the creative process, so don’t sleep on your passion projects!
The weekend brings us the Spring Equinox on the same day the Sun enters Aries. This shifts the collective experience from the element of water to fire; from feeling to doing. This is the energy that “spring cleaning” was born from! Anything that requires an extra dose of courage or energy is favored in Aries Season as we all feel more emboldened to follow our path and do it our way. Venus follows the Sun into Aries on Sunday, bringing a challenging edge to relationships. From a strengths-based perspective, Venus in Aries can truly empower us to ask for what we need and go through any door of opportunity that will help us achieve our goals. On the other hand, Venus is somewhat uncomfortable in Aries simply because Aries is a “me-focused” area of consciousness and Venus herself desires decadence within relationship. Finding balance between “me” and “we” will be important during Venus’s stay in Aries.
On the same day we walk deeper through the gateway into Aries territory, Mercury will sextile Uranus and Mars will trine Saturn. There can be opportunity to try new solutions to old problems with the Mercury-Uranus aspect. Expect innovative ideas, new insights and possible exciting news or information to come your way. Mars-Saturn in aspect is great for setting and/or sticking to commitments, as Saturn can keep us on task and motivated to work (Mars) toward long-term rewards. Harness this energy by staying clear and focused on your goals and creating daily routines that set you up for success. If rewards come your way this week, know that you are deeply worthy to celebrate and receive the fruits of your hard labor!
