Welcome to March! The restless energy preceding the full bloom of spring is evident this week as we navigate an abundance of Mercury-ruled energy. A trine to the North Node and conjunction with Jupiter makes Mercury in Aquarius a busy bee this week. Add to the mix that Venus meets with Uranus and Mars moves into Gemini – ruled by Mercury – and we have quite the mash up!
Mercury in Aquarius trine the North Node in Gemini can bring expansive energy related to diversity, equity, deconditioning and reshaping the lens we use to filter the world in front of us. Allow yourself to jump outside of the box, search for new answers, and think big. There is so much more possibility to reality than what we have been taught to believe. This aspect can help us find missing puzzle pieces of consciousness that, when put together, offer us the chance to expand beyond that which our ancestors ever had access to.
Mercury also conjoins Jupiter this week, further adding to the mental expansiveness of this week. If we play our cards right, this energy can be extremely useful in the pursuit of opening our minds and allowing ourselves to see other points of view without thick sight-skewing goggles of judgment. Tolerance (and even compassion?) for other people’s perspectives can be a blessing we receive from this transit, so if you have been needing to have an important conversation, now is the time to go for it!
On Wednesday March 3, we can be feeling heightened sensations of restlessness as Mars enters Gemini and Venus sextiles Uranus. Gemini is an area of consciousness that loves to be on the move, searching for information, putting it all together and sharing it with others. With Mars in this new home until April 23rd, we can expect our mental to-do lists to become an everlasting source of inspiration to keep digging, keep searching, keep moving. Mars in Gemini is unabashedly curious – about everything! Honor this energy and give yourself (and others) the space to wander, explore and connect.
Venus in Pisces forming a sextile to Uranus in Taurus can bring the strong desire to indulge and have fun. Venus is very strong in Pisces, lending a dreamy and spiritual vibration to her already loving and sensual ways. With Uranus involved, we can expect to feel the strong urge to break free from stagnation and switch up our routines in favor of fun and excitement. It’s a good time to play with your self-expression (hair, clothes, image, etc.) for a while. However, don’t expect changes made now to last in the long term. Energy like this can cause overspending if we aren’t too careful; but, it’s probably not a good idea to completely restrict ourselves either. Finding a happy medium between experimenting/splurging and overdoing it will be necessary with this transit.
Toward the end of the week, the Sun in Pisces will face a square with the North Node in Gemini. There may be some challenge presented to us that requires our fullest and most mature expression in order to advance. This evolved version of us we must become is likely to test our ego strength, in which case we are wise to consider which self-serving motives we may need to sacrifice in favor of long-term soul growth.
Above it all, we are in Pisces Season: the time of year when we dream, float and flow with mystical subtleties. Keep this at the forefront of your consciousness in all endeavors (yes, even while riding the waves of an ultra-restless Mars in Gemini), and you can successfully extract the wisdom this season is trying to teach us. We need to do the work to come back to our original state as a soul. This is about understanding our life to be a spiritual journey, leading us from one learning experience to the next, using our healed heart-based intuition as our compass.
