“Shift in Perspective”
And just like that, it’s the middle of December! (Any SATC fans out there? 👀)
We begin this week with a new flavor of ego energy and potentially fresh perspectives with Mars and Mercury entering new signs. On Monday Mars will enter Sagittarius until January 24th and Mercury will enter Capricorn until January 2nd. (You can read my full article about Mars in Sagittarius here.) Mars in Sagittarius can ignite spiritual pursuits and inspire us to seek new experiences that can help expand our belief systems. Mercury in Capricorn undoubtedly brings a more serious and practical tone to our inner voice and communication with others.
Mid-week, Mars will conjunct the South Node and oppose the North Node. This aspect may have us coming from a place of woundedness, so we should try to be mindful of the motivation behind our actions around this time. With Mars and the South Node in Sagittarius, we may be revisiting frustration or pain related to religion, spirituality or fanatical belief systems. The key is to allow ourselves to feel the pain while remaining open to trying again, this time with new information.
This weekend is jam packed with astrology that can have us closing some chapters while revisiting others. Important news or information could come to us around Saturday’s Full Moon in Gemini. This could be the type of closure or healing we need to wrap up a situation that we have been dealing with for some time – or, at least, to see it from a new perspective. The ruler of the Full Moon, Mercury, is exactly squaring Chiron at the same time, meaning that we may find a way to turn our pain into wisdom and healing that we can bring forth into the world.
Within hours of the Full Moon, Venus will station retrograde and begin the journey of reviewing relationships and clarifying values. The energetic build up to this retrograde has involved Venus merging with Pluto, the planet of life changing transformation. In short, we can expect some of our deepest shit to get dug up from now until March 2022. You know, the stuff that is not even in our conscious awareness. We are likely to meet this subterranean psychological material through our interactions with others – particularly related to things such as core values, resources, money and contractual agreements. The week ends with Sunday evening’s sextile between the Sun and Jupiter, which brings in optimism, creativity and hope. Take the day to honor how much you have grown and make it a priority to celebrate yourself – you deserve deep love and appreciation!
