We hit the ground running this week with an intense Scorpio Full Moon on Monday evening. Traditionally, Mars in Cancer rules this Full Moon, so to be sure – emotions are *heightened* at this time, likely beyond the scope of a typical Full Moon. Watch for emotionally aggressive energy and avoid outbursts of anger that could result in risky or dangerous behavior. One major aspect of this lunation is that the Sun + Moon + Mercury + Venus + Uranus are all square to Saturn. Deeply rooted and/or repressed emotions are sure to bubble to the surface around this time. Friction is a signature of this Full Moon, so we can expect triggers from outside to help us meet deeper layers within. The following day, Pluto turns retrograde as he does every year. In modern astrology, Pluto rules Scorpio and therefore activates the energy of the Full Moon. As an outer planet, Pluto retrograde effects will likely be observable on a collective scale. When retrograde, a planet’s energy switches from outer focused to inner focused. Pluto retrograde is here to help us continue to weed out the imbalanced power dynamics and ruthless oppression deeply rooted in existing structures – relationships, businesses, financial institutions, government, religious institutions, etc. We can expect the push for reform to continue as we do the work of redefining big concepts such as power, justice and truth.
Later in the week, Mercury and Neptune meet in an aspect that is full of potential manifestation. Mercury in Taurus says, “let’s imagine and explore ways to connect to our senses and build physical resources” while Neptune in Pisces says, “let’s create and travel into a portal of universal compassion and unconditional love”. In a sextile, these two planets are helping us to reinvent our relationship with (and ideas of) both our physical and spiritual realms. Harness this energy by connecting with your personal version of heaven through your physical senses. Friday brings in an electrifying rush of energy as the Sun and Uranus meet in a conjunction in Taurus. While Taurus values stability, Uranus ensures liberation and innovation which requires a shakeup. We may feel uncomfortable about our structures and reference points shifting, but rather than resistance, a better use of energy here is to surrender and focus on cultivating our sense of earthy spirituality (aka: *grounded* spiritual practices and beliefs). Over the weekend Mercury will trine Pluto and Venus will sextile Neptune.
