The theme of this week can be boiled down to: creating healthy emotional reactions and cultivating adaptability. With a series of challenging aspects leading up to a Cancer New Moon on Friday, the cosmos asks us to get in touch with our heart and discern what makes us feel safe and secure.
The week begins with a sense of breakthrough when the Sun and Uranus meet. Personal liberation may feel imminent, while issues within relationships can come to an inconvenient standstill. Saturn’s influence on Venus pushes us to take inventory of the responsibility we have to those we love. Imbalances will likely be unmistakable and impossible to ignore. As we work toward potential resolution, Mercury will be in a tense aspect to Neptune which can increase the likelihood of miscommunications as we are all perceiving from skewed dimensions. Our job then is to lean into Neptune’s influence by finding common ground and leading first and foremost with compassion for ourselves and others.
In the middle of the week, Venus and Chiron meet to deepen the healing process. Around this time, we can find powerful opportunities to close old chapters and wipe our slate clean when it comes to matters of the heart. Whether it is a romantic relationship or a dream of the heart, something must shift when Uranus forces the issue. Prepare to bend with the winds of change.
On Friday we have a Cancer New Moon that is heavily influenced by Neptune. This is an emotionally charged lunation that offers us the opportunity to tap into themes of universal compassion and unconditional love. Simply put, this New Moon connects our individual story to the collective consciousness. Take a look around you and you’ll find the similarities in your personal emotional experiences and those of the entire world.
In many ways, this New Moon offers us a chance to disengage with the parts of ourselves that have become desensitized to the suffering in the world. When the Moon is in Cancer, we can become more in tune with our uniquely subjective experience of the world around us. Having emotions is not wrong or inconvenient – rather, it is a sign that we are alive and aware. A healthy way to channel this energy is to reconnect with our humanity (including the pain) and consider ways we can plant seeds of tangible care for our global human family.
The week ends on Sunday with Mercury’s ingress into Cancer. Officially out of retrograde shadow period, Mercury’s mental and logical energy is now fused to our feelings. This can be a wonderful transit to communicate from the heart. It can also be a time of heightened intuition. On the other hand, we need to watch for moodiness or subtle attempts at manipulation through using emotionally charged language.
