Astrologically speaking, February’s energy feels like a breath of fresh air after the tumultuous retrograde journeys of both Venus and Mercury. Once Mercury goes direct on February 3, all planets will be traveling in forward motion until May 9. These three months signal a potent period for productivity, growth, expansion and general positivity.
Rather than continuously going one step forward and three steps back, we can begin to gain traction. It is certainly a time when we can observe the fruits of our labor, reflected in our projects and relationships.
The month begins with an Aquarius New Moon that first asks us to get serious about the future. After a concurrent Venus and Mercury retrograde period, we begin to gain clarity around what needs our continued effort and what needs to be radically transformed.
As we imagine the future we desire, we must consider the long-term effects of each decision we make. Self-discipline is likely required, since Saturn is involved and asking us to suspend immediate gratification in favor of pouring solid foundations that can sustain us in the long run.
